Seth is noting this particular event in natural history out because he is suggesting that even the woolly mammoth with all it’s strength and might fell – therefore it is arrogant for humans to assume we won’t head to the same fate whether through killing ourselves (war, conflict, etc.) or being killed by harmful environmental factors (disease, Global warming, famine, etc.)

Seth is calling humans “Neanderthal” because we are less-evolved than we think we are because we let primal instincts like greed and lust for power to consume us

Humanity is greedy (especially the U.S): we’d sacrifice not only the safety and well being of our fellow species but of the planet’s overall health to create wars, to horde more of the planet’s resources in order to gain more money and power.

The world is flammable in the sense that powerful explosives detonate at any moment with the press of the button and consume a large part of this planet.

Seth challenges the idea that working a 9-5 job which you despise should be the norm.

Tyler Durden in Fight Club shares the same resentment when he says:

God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables, slaves with white collars, advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need.

Putting emphasis on the delusion that one has after a hard day of tedious work where he feels that tomorrow will be a better day, but in the end it just turns out just the same as yesterday, and you repeat the dreaded cycle again

Seth is challenging the traditional idea of righteous and sinful individuals, good and bad people. Generally we are lead to believe that vicars are righteous men of god who serve to do good and are destined to heaven because of their rectitude, but given the recent cases of corruption and pedophilia in the church and not to mention the history of blood stained violence, the vicars could be just as unrighteous as any sinner and therefore will probably end up in hell as well.

In fact Jesus himself says in Matthew 7:21:

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Normal good hard-working individuals follow the authority figures (leaders) whether it be their boss or their prime-minister wherever they lead them: even if they’re leading them straight into the abyss
