There’s a common phrase in the United States saying sometimes when someone hears something it goes “in one ear, and out the other”. Jay Biz says that when his music goes “in one ear and out the other” it’s going to blow minds in the process, causing a sense of shock and surprise.

Jay Biz, being 16 at the time of this song’s creation, noticed that some of his peers had other plans after high school such as drug dealing. “Pots and Pans” refers to the cooking of crack, a drug that some people, even teens, sell. However, Jay Biz says he has MASTER plans, such as heading to college, and achieving, eventually his Master’s Degree, in order to be successful in whatever he chooses.

“‘Ol Boy” is slang for referring someone who you know, or know of, but can’t remember their name. Usually when “'Ol Boy” is used by someone to refer to another, the two aren’t very close or familiar with each other.

Old toys gradually wear down until eventually they break or snap quite easily.

Playing with someone, is often also known as bothering them, or trolling them.

Jay Biz never curses in any of his songs, therefore all his verses are clean, meaning without profanity. This bar has a double-meaning at the same time, as in Texas (Jay Biz’s residency), the word “clean” is slang synonymous with awesome, beast, or really good. As for the last line, a gnome’s voice is thought to be very “squeaky”, such as Jay Biz’s “squeaky clean” verses, another double-meaning.

Rap battling Jay Biz and his clique, is ILL-FATED. You must be really gutsy to take that challenge.

Most of the people featured in Jay Biz’s songs are black, as hip-hop is an African-American dominated genre, however one Mexican featured on several songs is named Jesse, also known as Je$$e James. Jesse sometimes chooses to spit a few bars in spanish.

Monochrome in relation to the color wheel, are the colors, White, Gray and Black. In this metaphor, it specifically refers to the color black, the race of Jay Biz and some of his friends.
