I sometimes can’t tell the difference. Most the time, people say ‘you’ve changed after this music thing picked up’. But really, what changed, is people’s perception of me.

The more I see my name on billboards or flyers, the smaller I want to become sometimes. The more attention I get, the humbler it makes me.

I’m not doing this music thing for the attention or the fame. I am doing this for my sanity, happiness and for the art. As musicians, you always end up with hanger ons and people who are down for a ride on your coat tails. This line was to those who think this is easy, and have the intent to find followers, as opposed to true comrades and friends in an industry filled with snakes.

If you catch me in the streets of Montreal, in the winter, bitter from the cold, it’s probably because my blood type craves beach and sun. Also, I am pointing to the fact that our displacement from East to West sometimes makes us feel like ‘the green must be greener over there’. Especially in the winter!
