Stannis Baratheon is the head of House Baratheon of Dragonstone, and the elder brother of Robert and Renly Baratheon. He also serves in King Robert’s small council and is the Master of Ships. Stannis is married to Selyse Florent.
He is described as a stubborn, serious and unforgiving man. He is an accomplished commander, sailor, and warrior, although his personality hinders his ascension to being a truly great leader. He is respected and feared, but he has never had the affection of nobles or smallfolk because of his appearance.
He is portraied by Stephen Dillane in the TV-show.

House Stark is one of the great houses of Westeros, and The Wardens of the North. In the days of Old they ruled as Kings of Winter, but became a part of the Seven Kingdoms during the Targaryen Conquest. They have been Wardens of the North since the conquest, and many lesser houses are sworn to them, such as House Poole and House Cassel.
The seat of House Stark is in Winterfell, an ancient castle.
Their sigil is grey direwolf racing across a field of white.

He is very large and strong, and though he is simple minded, he is very gentle and loyal to the Starks. When Bran Stark gets paralyzed, Hodor aids his mobility.
