The promotion race in the Championship last season was incredibly competitive and Lee was a key figure in a Middlesbrough side who went very close to going up.
– Chief Executive Neill Blake, August 2015

After spending time on loan with the club seven years ago, Max Gradel makes the jump to Bournemouth full time, as he joins the Cherries for an undisclosed fee. The 27 year old signs a four-year contract, and coming off the back of an impressive campaign last term, which saw him score 17 goals in 23 starts, he’ll be looking to carry that impressive form over from Ligue 1 to the Premier League.

After lighting up the Championship on loan with Brentford last season, Alex Pritchard once again extends his Spurs contract as he continues his progression to the first team. With no true backup to Eriksen last season, Pritch will provide more than adequate service in his place – he can even keep up with the Danish free kick specialist on set pieces!

Spurs pair Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball jump to the Scottish Championship to join up with Rangers; after Mark Warburton worked wonders with Alex Pritchard at Brentford, he has his chance to do that once again with these two. Another tricky forward in Oduwa, as well as a hard hitting defender in Ball – his track record with youth bodes well for their future with Pochettino. While some are disappointed at the level of competition, being in front of all those fans at the Ibrox has to count for something.

Njie Clinton. Clinton Njie. Njie. Clint. Thrill Clinton. Call him what you want, I’m calling him Spurs' fourth signing of the summer. Making the jump from Lyon for a rumoured fee of £12,000,000, the Cameroonian forward is a necessary addition following the departure of Roberto Soldado, as well as the removal of Adebayor from the squad.

As well as his attacking threat, the addition of Clint’s pace is something which has been sorely lacking as of late, with only the full backs offering that true burst of speed teams need to be effective on the counter. The 22 year old signs on his birthday, committing to a five year deal, keeping him at the Lane until 2020. You can see more on his move here.

After being as good as confirmed by Érik Lamela a day before, and just two years after joining Spurs, the former Valencia hitman heads back to Liga BBVA to join Villarreal. Despite giving it his all every match, it never clicked for the Soldier, who could never recapture the form that he showed in Spain – hopefully a move back to his home country will help him to start banging the goal in once again. The forward penned an emotional letter of thanks to Spurs and all the supporters, which you can read here.

He signs a three year deal, for a reported fee of £12m. I’ll miss you Bobby – at least we’ll always have Everton. You can read more on his move here.
