You can’t please some people. We need a new LB? Enter Ben Davies. We need to ensure we’ve got cover so Vert doesn’t have to play there. Rose signs a new five year deal. Rose is awful, he needs to go. No, he isn’t.

I can’t believe people are so disrespectful to him to be honest, not a bad player at all – he has his faults, but for such a problem position, Danny is a good move. He was Sunderland’s player of the year a couple back, remember.

I’m done justifying it – I’m not going to change any opinions. Here’s Danny on the new contract

I’m over the moon to sign my new contract. I’m glad it’s been sorted and now I can focus on the start of the season.

Working under Mauricio has been brilliant. It’s been a hard couple of weeks, but we’ve just got back from North America where we went through our first three games unbeaten, so we’re all happy and everyone has a good understanding of what the manager wants to implement.

Iago Falqué makes his way to Genoa for a fee thought to be around £4,000,000. I’m a little disappointed to be honest – he showed real glimpses of potential in the pre-season matches, but he’s 24, I guess the time was right for him to claim a first team position for himself. We’ll miss you Yago!

At the centre of the controversy was a campaign which prominently featured the Australian actress Kerry Armstrong. These advertisements included statements which, while not factually incorrect on their own, could been seen as misleading – for example, on claims that Coca-Cola makes consumers fat, they state –

Makes you fat? Fat chance.

You can read a .pdf document of the advertisement here.

Following a slightly misleading advertising campaign from Coca-Cola, the Australian Government took exception to the “myths” the company had “busted”, and asked them to come out and set the record straight.

Played by: Alan Rickman
Played in: Die Hard

Villains come and go in the Die Hard franchise, but none were as memorable as the first – Alan Rickman’s Hans Gruber in the original movie.

Many of the memorable scenes of the movie feature him, be it the (spoilers!) murder of Takagi, pretending to be American to fool McClane or ultimately falling from the Nakatomi Plaza, you’re sure to recall one from his fantastic performance. If you want to see an actor perfect for playing the bad guy, look no further!

Spurs‘ Argentine legend Ardiles conveyed just how much the club wanted Belgian defender Albert to join the club – after helping Anderlecht to two league titles, he was certainly a hot commodity.

Though he had his own reasons for the switch to Newcastle, Ossie shows that Tottenham offered him a lot – so much so that the only thing that could top the offer would be Sharon Stone, coming off the back of her best known role in Basic Instinct; it would have been a hard offer to turn down!

Bill Nicholson may well be the best known figure in the history of Spurs, being around the club for 36 years – the entirety of his playing career (from 1938 to 1955) before becoming manager and remaining there from 1958 to 1974. The most illustrious time in the club’s history it was too – the first team to win the double in the twentieth century (in the 1960-61 season) and the first British club to win a major European honour – the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1962-63.

Perhaps his greatest contribution however was this quote, which is still fondly recalled to this day – how regardless of a win or loss, Spurs pride themselves on aiming for the top. Sure, it doesn’t always come off, but as long as that’s what we’re shooting for, it’s alright. The Game is About Glory, after all.

The 2014/15 kit paid tribute to Bill, and featured parts of his quote as the design on the shoulders.
