Using ‘sitting’ means that Big Boi is seriously concentrating on the relationship, and trying to figure out how to fix it. Also, notice how the “we” in the first half of the line becomes an “I” by the second half. They can’t work out their problems together.

Tone is referring to the girl he’s been taking about throughout the song, saying the only times they’d “hang out” were during classes in school. “Visiting hours” as in a period of time you can visit someone in a prison hence “caged in prison”.
Visiting hours can refer to prison, a hospital, psyche ward, or old folks home. In each, neither the visitor or receiver is happy with the location and quality of visit.
