Once God saw that this was being built, and realized that humans could do anything they put their mind to because they all understood each other, he made it so that everyone spoke a different language, and that’s how the many languages of the world were born. Thus you couldn’t understand his verses similar to how the people on the Tower couldn’t understand each other once God created different languages.
