Getting under my skin is a common phrase used when someone is annoyed and scraping is a slang term for sex.
There’s a play on words here with X-rating and X-ray(ting), X-rating would connote explicit behaviour such as sexual content which follows on from the term scraping. The play on words with X-ray can be seen with the line
As X-rays are used to see bone and tissue structure under the skin
I think the double meaning goes beyond that: instead of “X-Ray(ting)” where “ting” doesn’t make any sense I think it’s more like a “X-Ray thing”, so there’s a complete meaning in both sides of the word play
