Whenever Joey gets heated, or angry, he chooses to get high. “Vaporize” is a word used to describe when water goes from a liquid state to a gas state after being heated. The liquid water becomes water vapor.
In reference to the last line, Joey might be saying that he uses a vaporizer. Smoking through one is considered one of the most “pure” ways to ingest marijuana because it eliminates all the carcinogens that come from setting fire to the weed.

A pie chart is a chart in which a whole is represented by a circle, and is divided into percentages much like a pie cut into slices. Slug might be saying he’s looking for something to make him whole, whether it’s rap or women.
The theme song from the television show The Jeffersons contains a lyric that says, “We finally got a piece of that pie”. George Jefferson owns a dry cleaning business and eventually starts making considerable money, and moves his family “on up to an apartment in the sky”. They are the epitome of the “American Dream”.
Slug might also be saying he is constantly keeping his mind on his money, and trying to make as much money as he possibly can doing what he loves so that he can live his own version of The Jeffersons.

Manifest destiny was a belief during the early years of American settlement, particularly after the Louisiana Purchase, that settlers were destined to expand across the whole continent.
