Nico Segal is a singer from Vic Mensa’s former band, Kids These Days. He moonlights as Donnie Trumpet and he has a new EP out.

This begins the spanish theme in the verse as he calls himself el presidento which is close to the spanish words el presidente meaning “the president”. A president’s “running mate” is the Vice-President.

Building off of the previous “ballot holders” line, he is saying that he’s running for President and that Nico is his VP
