If and when I need to look at my life, I’ll be the one who does it, not have someone else tell me what I need to do.

This song is basically me saying that I am introspective, but that there are many faults with people advising you. So basically my point is this: listen to what people have to say, but ultimately only you know what’s best for you.

I don’t walk around flipping teachers off and telling adults to go fuck themselves, but when I see hypocrisy I do point it out. Calling a spade a spade is a saying that basically means to tell the truth.

I get frustrated when I have people in their 30’s and 40’s who try to tell me what to do when they don’t have their shit together. Even thought this sounds like a typical teenager complaint, as I get older I realize more and more that adults only seem like they have their shit together when you’re young.

It’s difficult for me to take advice from people who can’t take their own.
