Big Sean paid attention in geography class.

Interestingly enough, Naya Rivera has changed her Twitter name to Naya Rivera Dorsey (Dorsey being her new husband’s surname). Sean definitely looked in a crystal ball for this verse.

Kanye used a similar pair of lines to this line in The Teriyaki Boyz song “Teriya-King”:

Obviously, if the important part of this promise was that Slim wouldn’t say the word “fuck” for six minutes, he fails to fulfill it (he says it seconds later in this same verse). However, INCREDIBLY, if you take this line as promising to avoid the construction “fucking” for six minutes, Eminem actually fulfills it to the letter

This line is delivered with about fifty seconds left of the track. Then, in “I’m Back” (the track which immediately follows this one on the album), Eminem uses the word “fuck” several times, but never uses the “fucking” construction. “I’m Back” lasts, get this, 5 minutes and 10 seconds, meaning by the end of that song, Slim has fulfilled his promise not to say “fucking” and is free to use it with impunity, as he does early on in the following track, “Marshall Mathers.”

This kind of insane, obscure brilliance in lyrical craft and song-writing is uniquely Eminem.

PYT of course being a reference to the legendary Michael Jackson single “PYT”, which stands for “Pretty Young Thing.”

Subtle creepiness in this line. The girl is “in front of your tree” because she’s inside her house, and you’re sitting in a tree outside her window. Weird entitlement is a hub for creepiness!
