Morgan Freeman is an actor who has received numerous awards in his career. This shows how young people are not concerned with the history of their country and only know what is shown on the media. To Riley, Morgan Freeman is more famous than Martin Luther King Jr.

The two of them don’t really have many similarities in their looks, but still…

Also, notice that Riley is referring to an actor that has the same surname as the family Freeman. And at this moment, King is having a dinner with the family.

Rosa Parks was an African American social activist known for standing up for her rights as an African American and refusing to give up her seat in a bus so that a white man could sit.

Here we see that Robert Freeman was there with her and did it before Rosa. She just stole his fame by adding only “I am not going to move” to what Robert said.

We already know how much Uncle Ruckus loves white people and hates the black ones, so his hatred for Martin Luther King Jr. is to be expected. Therefore, he doesn’t even approve Martin Luther’s last name. The only “king” to Uncle Ruckus is white — it’s the rock & roll legend Elvis Presley who is often referred to as “the King.”

Two biblical references here:

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you —Matthew 5:43

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth; But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. —Matthew 5:38-39

Martin Luther King was known to use biblical references in his speeches, and it’s also known that he has used these two specific ones at some point, but using them in this sense when asked this specific question would obviously leave America confused and outraged, and it would be extremely disappointing to see him answer like this in such situation, not motivating USA to strike back at Al Qaeda considering the September 11 attacks.

In fact, Granddad doesn’t know that Cristi is bad throughout the best part of the episode, because he’s too brainwashed to realize it. He falls in love with Cristi and she means everything to him. As he says:

You boys don’t know Cristal like I do. She’s a wonderful woman. She’s in my heart. She’s in my soul. I just want to be her everything.

But even after realizing that she’s no good, at the end of the episode, when A Pimp Named Slick walks into his house in search of Cristi, he still doesn’t get mad at her — she’s still good to him and after she leaves he even hopes that she’ll come back one day.

The way that Huey takes pictures, he compares himself to paparazzi who are known to use spy cameras to photograph celebrities. And Kodak is another camera brand. Huey is using his camera to stop Cristi in getting Granddad’s bozak, which is a slang term for “ball sack.” He’s trying to prevent his Granddad from having sex with Cristi, because, as seen before in the episode, Robert already had sex with Cristi once and the boys didn’t like that.

GRANDDAD: … And for your information, children, I had relations with Cristal last night.

RILEY: Ew, come on, Granddad!

HUEY: Oh, God, please!

From the episode The Trial of R. Kelly, it can be seen that Robert has bought his grandson Riley a pair of Nike shoes:

RILEY: Granddad, can you take us into the city tomorrow to watch the R. Kelly trial?

GRANDDAD: Hell, no, but you can walk.

RILEY: It’s 40 miles.

GRANDDAD: All the money I spent on them damn Nikes! You better just do it.

Nikon is a camera brand, and, as mentioned, at this point, Huey is taking pictures of Cristal.

Some nice wordplay with “Nike” and “Nikon” too.
