This line is meant to convey Cindi’s belief that love isn’t fluffy like people make it to be; it’s a deep, almost dangerous connection. The word “love” is used too often and too readily, which cheapens its meaning and makes us disillusioned whenever someone says it to us.

The word is also used to show respect to someone who has achieved a certain level of mastery in an art form or some other skill: accomplished puppeteers, novelists, musicians, and artists for example are addressed in this way.

Jay and Kanye proclaimed to the rap world that they currently sit on the throne as kings, and told everyone to “watch it.” Donald took these words to heart, and will aspire to reach the top in everything he does.
