A fine header from Altidore, but the Jamaica defender in front of him completely misinterprets the incoming cross and should have headed it away. He appears to stop mid-cross, and doesn’t attempt to jump for the ball. Either he thought his goalkeeper was coming to claim it, or that the ball was too high.

Germany fielded a team of mostly youngsters and reserve players. Bayern München – who employ many of Germany’s biggest stars including Neuer, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Müller and Mario Gomez – played and won the German Cup final just a day prior, so their players were busy “resting”.

“In my mind the song has two meanings,” Passenger told Female First.

The first is quite literal as I wrote it after a break up and it is about letting her go. But then there is a bigger idea going on and is more about not really understanding and knowing what you have until it is gone and I think everyone can definitely relate to.

Everyone can also relate to the experience of lying awake at night–it takes the average human 7 minutes to fall asleep. So most people have some time to think, like Kid Cudi, for example:

You don’t really care about the trials of tomorrow,
rather lay awake in a bed full of sorrow.

i can relate to the loving to much land diving too deep in maybe a more personal understanding, essentially i liked this girl, this was middle school mind you, i’m 25 now, and she gave me her number and i was like ‘Damn, i guess i hit the jackpot’ and it was one of those like she knew i liked her and i knew that she knew situations but that catch is she had a boyfriend at the time and i didn’t have the damnedest clue. And if you take the lines i mentioned a bit more literally, you can guess what happened in the following couple of months

Tottenham finished the season with 72 points, their highest ever total in the Premier League, spearheaded by triple Player of the Season award winning Gareth Bale.

In any other season preceding this one it would have been enough to see them reach the top four and get into the Champions League – they came 4th with 70 points in 2010/11, and 4th with 69 points in 2011/12.

At one point during Spurs final game with Sunderland a rumor spread through the stands that Newcastle had scored (and tied the game) against Arsenal, thus giving Tottenham the chance to overhaul the Gunners for the final CL qualification spot. Needless to say these rumors were false…and hilarious (unless you’re a Tottenham fan):

Malcolm Glazer is the owner of Manchester United (also the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL) and has provided Ferguson with the monetary backing to challenge for trophies over the years.

The last big investment Ferguson requested he finance was the purchase of Robin Van Persie from Arsenal. The transfer cost £24 million, and turned out to be a massive success, the Dutch striker becoming the league’s top scorer for the second season in a row.
