Paulinho is a strong box-to-box midfield player, who isn’t shy of the physical side of the game but equally has decent footwork on the ball.

Many foreign imports to the Barclays Premier League are often doubted upon arrival due to their small stature. The English game has a historical reputation for being particularly brutish, direct and physical, and not suited to smaller men.

However, there have been many players that break the mould and prove that if the ability is there it doesn’t matter how much one weighs. Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, remarkably average in height and skinny, was statistically the most valuable defensive midfielder in the Premier League in 2012/13, usually a position associated with physicality.

In other positions, Hugo Lloris and David De Gea have both coped well with EPL goalkeeping duties despite their wiry frames, and Phillipe Coutinho became a revelation for Liverpool in the latter half of 2012/13 despite being just 5"7'.

Yet another huge upset. One of the tournament favourites Kvitova came into the match suffering from a virus, and Kristen Flipkens punished her for it.

Kvitova noticably tired in the second set, and had to call a doctor onto the court at one point. She became reckless as she tried to shorten points with daring shots that never consistently worked. Flipkens on the other hand was brilliantly consistent in the match’s latter half, and deserves her win and place in the Wimbledon semi-finals – just a year after recovering from a severe blood clot herself and battering her way through the world rankings to #20.

Poor Sergio Ramos blasted wide a golden opportunity to bring Spain back into contention at 3-0 from the penalty spot. I blame this evil News Genius moderator who is probably a witch doctor or something.

Even Xavi saw it coming…
