the production did nothing that West hadn’t already mastered with MBDTF Ashley Chittock – Kanye West - "Yeezus" Review

By which I mean to say that the creative ticks of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy are carried over to these recent collaborative albums without much progression.

It’s a sideways step, and as a result those records ended up as fine, but lacking in longevity or memorability.
