Broken Hearts was originally written about Antonio Reyes, a freshman at Wenatchee High School who drowned in the school’s pool on November 17th, 2011. The song was written in one day and recorded the next before seeing it’s release on November 18th, 2011.

The remix features a new beat along with additional vocals from the late Michael Jackson using a sample of his 1993 song, Gone Too Soon.

The beat was produced by YT Beatz.
