Time can do many things, including allowing seeds to grow. Seeds come in many different types. Metaphorically speaking, seeds of fantasies, doubts, delusions of grandeur, etc., can bloom into something dangerous or detrimental to people.

So, since the entire verse (and song, for that matter) is a giant metaphor for the music industry being like a fast food restaurant, “browse the menu” refers to the choices of the artists people would like to hear. Regardless, if you like an artist then you should still listen to them, just have knowledge of their influences and similarities to others in the industry – you might miss something later on.

Speaking of Mr. West, this is a direct reference to his story. He did start out as a producer for many hit songs such as “Izzo” and “‘03 Bonnie and Clyde” but then he began to hop on the mic more and more, eventually signing a deal with Roc-A-Fella. And now he’s one of – if not, the most – popular and respected artists in the world!

However, after the Kanye incident, Taylor was blowing up the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts like mad. So….“You’re welcome?”

Call it tasteless, but this was actually a Taylor Swift reference. Kanye got a lot of well-deserved head for interrupting her speech and making her cry, but honestly, it wasn’t as big a deal as it was made out to be. Sure, it was rude, but it didn’t need to be discussed and parodied by EVERYONE for 6 months…

And all of these women sing about love, whether it’s unrequited love, a former love or dirty, sexy love. With the exception of Lady Gaga and Madonna, nearly all of the women mentioned in the last comment have made nothing but tracks pertaining to relationships and/or partying. And that’s perfectly ok.

Too many popular singers that are blonde: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, now even Rihanna AND Chris Brown….the list goes on. This is more a jab at the typical white blond singer, but just pointing out the trend in the industry.
