Nicki had a similar line on “I’m Out”,

“No I never been there, but I like to bang cock (Go to Bangkok)”.

A decent amount of symbolic wordplay and sexual euphemisms/allusions:

  1. Continuing the car metaphor – “stick shifting” has to be grabbed by the hand. Sexually comparable to jerkin' off. Nicki’s done this before on “Get It All” with the lyric “Let me stick shift, ride it, back it up, and then park it”.

  2. Homophones – bang, bang, cock in it – besides the initial gun metaphor; “cockin' it” – to prepare a gun and “bang” being the sound of the shot.

Further building off the “Batman, robbin' it” part of the line. Robbers usually use guns to perform the act.

Hanging as both 1) The man’s dick hangs, and because of the size and weight, she’s gonna bang him and 2) Slang similar to “chillin'” or “being” with a another person or group.

For both reasons, she’s having sex with him, because he’s big or that’s the only reason she called him over in the first place: to slang (give) dick. He may also be a drug dealer, as they are Nicki’s main attraction

I let him hit it, because he slang cocaine

Last line, shows they are either having sex, orally and/or physically. Karaoke is a machine that allows one to sing along with other songs on a microphone. Nicki is singing in the sense of moans during sex or blowing him (on his mic).

Hip-Hop fiction at its finest…and as a perfect ending to her verse.

Turning from meanings to sounds: droppin' your g’s may not be presidential but it’s proper Hip Hop Nation Language. Here Nicki not only drops but also adds g’s: “hanGin' … banGin' … ranGin' … slanGin' … sinGin'” –maybe to draw attention to “to the G” in the next two lines.

It’s unclear what type of war Skiz talking about. Judging from the lines that follow, he is either fighting with her or fighting for her.

“Being back on schedule” shows that something interrupted his original plans. Was Lucy his original plan?

Some nice wordplay on sections or types of time (past, present, future).

“To have one’s future ahead of them” means great things are already planned out for them in life. This could double as Skizzy might be referring to himself and her goals.

Her “past” could refer to her ex-man (as oppose to her actual past-life), as many people who get out of relationships have a hard time getting into new ones.

Kites are flown high; the height depends on how long their strings are. When you look up at them, they have the blue sky behind them. Although “blue” is a term commonly associated with sadness, Tove seems to use it for happiness here.

This is the only time, throughout the whole album, where Tove claims the title of being the Queen of the Clouds. Clouds never leave the sky, allowing her to experience the beautiful images of day and night, which she would like her lover to experience too.

The whole album encases the feeling of being high off of various emotions, especially pertaining to love. This is a metaphorical high.

The last line here shows that, although, every song is very personal and comes from Tove’s life and experiences; it can be looked at solely from the perspective of a deeply romantic relationship.
