“We want to do a benefit in New York, and we want it to be for New Yorkers Against Violence. Because we feel like we have to stop for a minute, and figure out what is going on. Violence is not the answer.” And within a month, we were in New York, doing the benefit, supporting those peaceful causes so that people would keep an open mind. And we had a lot of support. U2 came out, REM came out, and a lot of artists came out to support the ideas that these brilliant people were sharing. And it created a platform for these people to inspire each other to make change.
