Sean throws shots at ex label-mate Consequence, practically telling him to stop rapping. The phrase “Don’t quit your day job” is usually used to subtly tell someone they don’t have a realistic chance of achieving success in a particular field, in this case, that would be rapping. Don’t Quit Your Day Job!, was the title of Consequence’s debut album. Obviously Sean doesn’t think he’s a good emcee, mind you, neither do Consequences fans! He plays off of the typical stereotypes imposed on the black community, usually considered as hood dreams. Condescendingly, he uses the term “blacks” as a euphemism and expands on this idea when he says “I know that we the new slaves.”

I think these lines is giving a contrast to a lot of The other segments in the song as this could be from the perspective of what America outside of the black community sees the black community as this stereo type of this could be the perspective of Uncle Sam trying to use this community purely for the reason of economic gain
