The touring musician’s life can be a lonely one. Bill is on the road with nobody to talk to, so his words are few and far between.

The humor of this line is in the recitation: the words get jumbled and sound like a personal thank you to beer. This isn’t a terrible idea; beer is delicious.

  Orange leather boots go with everything. They go with black. They go with Brown. They probably don’t go with orange, but I think the solution here is to never wear orange.

• Jeans by Acne.
  I have an Acne cardigan. All the buttons fell off. I keep expecting one of the pants legs to fall off these jeans, but so far so good.

• Sweater by Billy Reid.
  Billy Reid makes incredibly soft sweaters. People at parties will brush by you and say “oh my god, you are so soft!” The real trick is to come back with something clever like “You should feel my personality.”

• Jacket by Oliver Spencer.
  Oliver Spencer makes somewhat frumpy versions of classic british tailoring. I like this jacket because I can wear it and people don’t say “You look fancy.” When people say that, what they secretly mean is “You look overdressed.”

• Scarf by Paul Smith
  Paul Smith has a sale shop here in Williamsburg. This is where all of Paul’s terrible ideas go to die. However, amidst all the dip-dyed blazers and velvet tank tops, is an occasional good idea.
