A spicy Mexican-Guatemalan food. Apparently Toledo has the spiciest. Rae’s rhyming skills are more on fire than this.

The Wu constantly refer to their collective as a group of 9, which they are, but always add intrigue by adding a noun as a second word, such as Nine Ninjas (as Meth says in “Gravel Pit”). In this case Golden Arms is stating that the Wu form a diagram of nine sides. Also there exists a comic book, The Nine Rings of Wu-Tang.

A quick trivia is that the Wu’s third album was slated to be titled The Eighth Diagram after 1997’s Wu-Tang Forever, scheduled for release in 2000. RZA later came with The W during that time period after being pressured to release a follow-up to their first album. The title was later revisited for the group’s 2007 album, thought to be their final opus, 8 Diagrams.

The black and red refer to gambling.

Witty Unpredictable = WU
Talent And Natural Game = TANG

One of the many acronyms of the Clan. The main one used in songs. Another popular acronym is We Usually Take All Niggaz Garments. The name also signifies the sword sounds. Wu is the Wu-Tang sword swooshing through the air, tang is the clanging of the blade striking its' target. This is all referenced, of course, by leader RZA himself in The Wu-Tang Manual, the official book of the Clan (also referenced in many Wu songs).
