After New York Mets GM signed Chris Young to a risible one year, $7.25 million dollar contract, the former all-star failed to produce in the large field dimensions of Citifield and was subsequently released by the Mets on August 15. Signing a minor league deal several days later with the Yanks, the outfielder would be called up from the minors; in his third start, Chris would proceed to break up a no-hitter in the 8th inning and hit a walk-off three run bomb against the Tampa Bay Rays.
