Now that’s deadly

Emilio and his team hit or attack with the deadly accurate precision of a trained sniper, without any hesitation and ice cold blood running through their veins.

Sort of like this…

Emilio isn’t one for slick talk behind people’s back but rather is sly or sneaky in his own way. Possibly throwing jabs in his music or just being sneaky with women and fucking them? Who knows?

Chanclas are Spanish for flip-flops or sandals, (often used in Spanish households by women to beat children or spouses). But Emilio finds them to a fashion statement, connecting to his Spanish heritage. He collaborated with sneaker blog site Nice Kicks to talk about his main 5 sneakers/shoes in his rotation.

Emilio Rojas: “I wear those more than anything, I love ‘em. I used to be a sneakerhead. I used to buy mad Air Maxes, but I like the chancletas now; always with socks though. You don’t let your feet free because there’s too many germs in New York! That’s my fresh. That’s my swag right there. I get on a plane and go to meetings like that. I feel like it’s kind of belligerent and kind of Spanish at the same time.”

Starting his verse with the same line Bodega starts his with, Rojas further adds to the idea that the music they both make provide a similar high to taking drugs that physically affect your body. Their music provide listeners an emotional and mental high, speaking on things that they can relate to.

Hell is often described as a place of eternal torment and punishment in the afterlife for those who did not follow the path of God. It is also considered to be a endless fiery abode underneath the surface of the Earth, ruled by many gods of death such as Lucifer (The Devil), Hades, Negral, etc.

(Lucifer torturing souls in Hell as well as torturing himself)

Since Hell is blazing hot, Emilio is wearing a fireproof wardrobe to resist its deadly properties. He boasts that he’s been through the flames of Hell, possibly describing the rough life he had in the hazardous Rochester environment. As written before, Hell is often considered endless so it is quite admirable that Emilio came back in one piece from such a horrible place of such a distance.

Lucifer, or “Morning Star” in Latin, is the name considered to be the real name of Satan or the Devil before his fall from Heaven for his rebellion against God to the depths of Hell, the realm where the Devil resides.

Being a fallen angel from Heaven, Lucifer may as well have been close to God himself before his rebellion. This line may also apply to Emilio’s hatred towards the record labels, portraying themselves as artists' mainway towards fame and riches before leading them from “a virtuous path” or more simply, leading them to forgetting who they were before they joined the label.

Emilio hails from Rochester, New York which isn’t really known for its musicians. This shames Emilio knowing how many talented artists there are in his city that just never recieved support. He wishes to change that, repping the city in every song and verse that he does.

He even has a song entirely revolving around Rochester with local artists from the city.

To end the song, Emilio simply wishes to let those people close to him, family and friends, that he loved them and worked hard to help support them. Throughout the song, he made mentions of his grandmother, his sister, his mom, his nieces and half-siblings and wishes he could have lived a better life for them. This final line is a sentiment to those people he could have done more for and just wants to show his feelings for them were genuine.
