Not necessarily, in many cases you can enter Sam’s Club without any I.D., although you will be charged 10% extra if you buy anything.
Kanye is being humorous here – everyone has to show i.d. to get the Sam’s Club discount, but it appears as an enormous indignity to him.
You don’t need to show ID to get a discount at Sam’s club. You need a membership card. He’s referring to getting ID’d at night clubs and it’s an exaggeration of that because he even gets ID’d to get inside of Sam’s club
This could also be a double entendre referring to Uncle Sam’s club.
It also refers to his mentor, No I.D., who he would have had to show to get into a club

Just straight up wrong, he’s talking about Uncle Sam as in the USA
Show ID to get inside of “Sams” Club could be referencing “Uncle Sam”. Consider the previous line. “Racism still alive, they just be concealin' it”. The history of The Black American struggle to be accepted as fully “American”, yet having to fight voter suppression (voter ID etc) and other cultural identifiers(. They pretend it’s all “equal”..but the suppression is concealed, and even when we get IN, as a source of entertainment, pop culture, style, flavor)…we know the energy STILL is… “They don’t want ME in the damn club”. (Merica)
Also note that when signing cheques to pay at a store, proof of identity may be asked to be presented. While there is nothing inherently racist about I.D. verification, the fact that ethnic minority groups are far more likely to get I.D.‘ed is.
Black peoples continue to be racially profiled. Kanye highlights the racism in being asked to show ID to enter a store where most folks aka white folks are free to walk in without scrutiny.
