Kendrick hearkens back to the days of his youth, which were apparently spent watching the 1987-90 cartoon DuckTales, which featured Scrooge McDuck and his three great-nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Lamar, who was born in 1987, probably caught the show in syndication. Notice the capatilist leanings of the show in question.
Also ‘elementary hood shit’ could be mean that this, the violence and recklessness endangerment of others is basic behavior in his neighborhood. The duck references in this song allude to Kendrick’s last name: “Duckworth.”
