The kingdom? I guess this means that this is official post-Throne shit!. Either that, or we’re back to kingdom come, but let’s hope not.

“Watch who you bring home” is a reference to the fact that interracial dating isn’t fully accepted, connecting this to the next line.

No matter how successful Kanye becomes, how good his music is, how big of a house he gets, and no matter how high he raises it’s boundary walls, his life can and will never be private. He just can’t hide from the public’s eye. He will never be able to do what he wants without being criticized. Kanye is the media’s punching bag and they love to provoke him/see him angry and he’s tired of it.

In addition; “Enter the Kingdom” i.e. “Welcome to the Jungle”… Setting up the string of King Kong references he’s about to put together.

Similar to how you never get the same high that you did during your first time doing a drug, Frank can’t be as happy as he was before he learned that he was one of the “new slaves”.

Ocean is also referencing Ye’s line Can we get much higher? from MBDTF. Ye has already peaked with this almost perfect album. So how does he follow it up? He wants to get that high again, but whether or not he can with this album remains to be seen. Ye longs for those days like a weed smoker remembering his glorious first high.

KRIT has made a lot music for his fans and now he’s making some music for himself. He’s fulfilling his need to be true to himself and cope with his past troubles. His lover doesn’t understand his past troubles though and thus has trouble understanding his newer music. She views it as “basic” and thinks that he has “sold out”, although her opinions couldn’t be further from the truth.

KRIT is spitting knowledge through his songs and is expressing his dreams through his albums. KRIT is saying that he has many more albums on the way.

He could also mean that what he’s doing is more than just fantasy, he’s creating his success and living what they used to say was only a dream.

KRIT won’t let his haters affect him so they’ll never be able to “spill his blood” – because words will never hurt him. He also won’t show any love to an impostors who aren’t really living what they’re rapping or talking about.

Note: The “what?” adlib is part of the background vocal track used for emphasis, and is not part of the lyrics of KRIT’s verse.

A euphemism is “A mild or indirect word or expression for one too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing.” In other words, when you use one phrase to refer to something worse.

Actually, most of the second verse is filled with euphemisms; “chewed and booty scented” (smells like ass); “local loony clinic” (insane asylum); “floozy women” (most likely prostitutes).

Some people are spitting non-complex shit and try to force rhymes out. However, this just gets them to write complex raps that are no fun to listen to. Earl, however, has found the perfect balance between complex lyrics and shit you can bump to; hence why he knows that he won’t lose to those other rappers. He has to pretend like he doesn’t know that though, so he doesn’t come off as an ass, although he doesn’t really seem to care what people think of him.

Songs are often called joints (which doobie is another word for). So he’s basically saying his songs are full of euphemisms in a euphemism! Woorrrrdplayyy.

Could actually be a reference to the crap rappers nowadays spit and the particularly those who claim to smoke and come up with their stuff.

He claims to be wack, but he’s not, hence he will not hesitate to knock you off in a lyrical bout, to your consternation, as you might look down on him.

In detox clinics and in most other self-admitted clinics, they have syringe disposal boxes to prevent the sharing of needles and easily transmittable diseases (such as HIV). Earl’s rhymes are so ill, he writes with syringes!

A further play on “bin”, as the insane asylum is usually called the “loony bin” instead of the “loony clinic”.

Earl is also referencing MF DOOM with his whole flow and especially with this line. It’s similar to Doom’s line on Madvillain’s “Great Day.”

“Couldn’t find a pen, had to think of a new trick
This one he wrote in cold blood with a toothpick”

This isn’t the first time Earl has professed to writing his material with unique items.

Pen also as in pig pen (see last line), his flows aren’t nasty, so he says “Naw,” and shows us how ill he is by writing verses with used syringes instead.
