WJLB (97.9 FM) is the biggest hip-hop radio station in Detroit, also featured in 8 Mile. They previously used the slogan “Where hip-hop lives” (now changed to “Detroit’s hip-hop and R&B”). He and other Detroit artists are sick of radio stations claiming that they support real hip-hop when they won’t give albums like Infinite any spins. He made a similar complaint about WJLB on “Low Down, Dirty” off of The Slim Shady EP.

Maliah Michel is an American adult performer, hip-hop model, and stripper from Houston. At the time, she and Drake were dating.

Drake first met her at a Houston-based strip club and flew her to Jamaica a few months later to star in the official video for “Find Your Love” as the lead dancer. “I’m on fire” comes from the fact that the URL of Maliah’s MySpace account is maliahsonfire.

Drake also gave her a shoutout on his February 2009 song, “November 18th”:

Just met a girl, say she from the H-Town

They have also collaborated on four different occasions: OutKast’s August 2006 song, “Hollywood Divorce,” The Game’s November 2006 song, “It’s Okay (One Blood) [Remix],” David Banner’s July 2007 song, “Speaker,” and Wayne’s September 2018 song, “Dope Niggaz.”

“Slime” is an acronym for “street life intelligence, money [is] everything.” It originated from Harlem, New York.
