The entire album is a triple entendre, so every song, and every line in this album has 3 different meanings at the same time. I haven’t ever seen anyone who does something close to this when it comes to allegories, symbolism, double/triple/quadruple/quintuple/sextuple/septuple entendres (quad, quint, sextuple and septuple entendres can be seen Lu’s Tetsuo & Youth album in which he tells 5 different stories at the same time, so Tetsuo & Youth is another Lu album which layered asf, it’s quintuple layered…) and personification.

1st Narrative: This is the main one the listener understands when listening to the album, the surface layer in other words.
This is the life story of the fictional character Michael Young History.
2nd Narrative: This narrative describes Lupe’s life metaphorically since the first layer is a metaphor for Lupe’s life.
Michael Young History is a homophone with My Cool Young History, hence Lupe story telling his life.
3rd Narrative: Is a biblical allusion to the Holy Trinity.
In The Cool there are three characters: The Game which is a personification of life, The Streets which is a personification of the street life trying to lure young people that are just starting of The Game (hence their lives) into gangs and of course The Cool or Michael Young History who is the character being lured into the bad life path by The Streets, dying and then being revived by The Game or life.
This perfectly parallels the story of Jesus since The Cool represents Jesus, The Game represents the Father and The Streets represent the devil.
So just like Jesus, The Cool dies and then is revived from the dead by The Game or The Father.

It ties with the another Lu albums in which he tells MYH’s history, which is a godlike allegory. The best lyricist, freestyler, and storyteller.

An interesting thing about this album is that exactly half is explicitly while half is clean, going perfectly along with the good and bad concept.
