“I’m Ready For You” first appeared on Drake’s Young Sweet Jones 2 mixtape, which was released on September 17, 2010. The Toronto rapper later posted the song on his official YouTube channel in August 2017.

Drake wrote “I’m Ready For You” for Rihanna but the Barbadian singer rejected it. He then gave the demo to his friend and Jay-Z’s protégé Rita Ora. Renamed “R.I.P.”, the track was released as Ora’s lead single (in the UK, and second single in the US) from her debut album Ora, featuring British rapper Tinie Tempah, in April 2012. It eventually became a chart-topper in the UK.

The song samples “Heartbeat” from Nneka. Her voice can be heard on the hook.

Jermaine Cole graduated from St. John’s University with a degree in Communication and minored in Business. His mom wants him to think about going to Law School in case rapping doesn’t work

J. Cole disses law, saying it’s a dishonest profession. But considering the strong ties of the rap/legal nexus, maybe law school would be a good move for his rap career..

What do you think J. Cole got on the LSAT??

Very expensive shades, Like Lil Wayne’s Marc Jacob goggles. “Millionaire Frames” are also a Louis Vuitton line and cost a dreadful $2000.

This is a continuation of the previous line’s theme too, because not only are Billionaire Boys Club clothing and Millionaire sunglasses named similarly, they are both designed by Pharrell Williams. Wale’s combination is therefore notable for its aesthetic compatibility as well as its aspirational branding and price.
