There are a lot of “rocks” in Jay Elec’s life: Jay Z’s Roc Nation label, Islam’s Dome of the Rock, the Nation of Islam’s beliefs about the ancient Black race – as well as his solid upbringing in the Magnolia projects
“I came from a rock” is also a humble way of declaring oneself human, a being of nature and from Mother Earth. Basically, Jay keeps his ego in check, which makes this verse a great contrast to Kendrick’s competition decimation a few measures ago.
In saying “I came from Iraq,” Jay might also be referring to Ancient Mesopotamia and the “fertile crescent” of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers (located in modern-day Iraq) which is often called the “Cradle of Civilization.” He could also be referring to the ancient city-state of Babylon, which has great spiritual significance in the Abrahamic religions and Five-Percenter ideology.
But none of these justify ONLY RELEASING TWO SONGS, Jay Elec.
He also came onto this verse with the line “earth wind and fire’d”, he rocked his way in.

When he says “I came from a rock”, he’s talking about the creation of Adam (the first man) being made from Clay (or Earth). All humans are made up of carbon, which is literally what is in the ground. It’s an Abrahamic reference to the creation of man. The four lines in sequence are a quadruple entendre on the word “rock”.
