This is a real thing: through maintained specimens, scientists can take DNA from extinct animals and use it to create an egg that is then implanted in a relatively similar species.

This document establishes the rules for challenging a team in the America’s Cup and for the rules of the competition.

The cup – and competition – is named after the yacht America, which, in 1851, won the regatta hosted by the Royal Yacht Squadron in the United Kingdom.

2013’s America’s cup will take place in San Francisco, CA and will see a challenger (determined by the Louis Vuitton Cup) will take on Golden Gate Yacht Club’s Oracle Team USA.

This is tremendous progress for the Church. Consider Leviticus 20:13 (yes, it’s over 2000 years old, but it is in the primary religious scripture):

If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

The last pope, Benedict XVI, denounced homosexuality and gay marriage on multiple occassions as well.

This is exactly the problem. That Green even asks how a Muslim is qualified to, or interested in, makes this problem clear.

Fox is a Republican network, and so it’s understandable for them to adopt the viewpoint of, or even advocate, Christianity. However, they’ve had problems in the past with atheists and Muslims on air.

Aslan writes about the life of Jesus (he borrowed the subtitle from Tommy Jefferson by the way) from his knowledge as a scholar, not as a Muslim.

William Lane Craig is a professor of philosophy/religion and he has indeed participated in a large amount of debates as a Christian apologist.

His most famous book now is Reasonable Faith. However, the reason he may not agree with Aslan’s conclusions is that Craig takes the role of Christian apologist first – he, then, of course has to disagree with authors who call into question the veracity of some aspects of Christianity’s Jesus.

It’s a politician’s job to speak in front of people – gaffes happen all the time. That said, the “57 states” incident was likely a joke on Obama’s part.

Gov. Christie does not want to discourage healthy discourse or even skepticism about the state, but he feels that the timing is wrong. Given the scale of the events on 9/11 and the radical groups opposed to the U.S., he believes that certain programs are necessary, even if they do infringe upon civil liberties. For instance, just after the PRISM leaks, NSA Director Keith Alexander vouched that the program had foiled terrorist plots.
