A sit-in is a form of protest done by one or more people, much like (the more peaceful members of) the Occupy movement.

Religions are based on keeping their followers closed-minded by telling them to believe and have faith. These words hinder your ability to critically analyze situations and life and its true meaning.

Some preaching from the choir: He’s also lambasting the the materialistic traditions that accompany religions. He goes on to ask why we don’t realize or wake up to the fact that corporations are cashing in on this materialism, and that the reason for this is that we, ourselves are just like the corporations, so closed-minded, so focused on fitting in with society that we can’t see the wood for the trees. In the end, it is US who gets hurt, as our materialistic property ends up owning us.

He is simply illuminating the daily lives of most people around the world, who choose to fit in and follow the group-think or collective habits, showing that in the ed-end (end) its not really worth it.

The collective habits of the world for the most part consist of going to work to make money and going to church to feel accepted by other people (fit in).

I would also like to note that “clothes-lined” could be a play on the materialism that usually accompanies these collective habits.

By the way getting clothes-lined is getting knocked out.
