The use of the name Miguel might be in reference to Miguel Caro Quintero, the former leader of the Mexico-based Sonora Cartel whose operations deal primarily with the cultivation and distribution of marijuana.

Also, The name Miguel its a very common Mexican name. Many Mexican dealers might have that name.

Cut Creator (whose real name is Jay Philpot) is LL’s DJ. According to Cut’s website, he “met a skinny kid who called himself ’LL Cool J' [at a block party and] they clicked right away and the rest was history.”

For 20+ years as a DJ, Cut was voted amongst the top 25 hip-hop DJs of all time by Newsweek Magazine. He has performed on everything from the BET Music Awards to the Ellen DeGeneres show and is considered by many a legendary icon in the hip-hop industry.
