Like when your favorite rappers start in on a track, Obama is hollerin' at his homies, his fans, and his rivals. This greeting is used, with minor variations, at every State of the Union speech

Obeezy should start out all speeches just like this:

“The realest shit I never wrote”

Besides being the title of this song and album, “XXX” also refers to Xanax and/or Ecstasy, which are likely some of the drugs Danny’s rapping about. This is reinforced by the album art, which depicts a face consuming a pill with “XXX” written on it.

Danny was 30 years old when he recorded this song, and “XXX” is 30 in Roman numerals. Additionally, “XXX” is often used designate offensive or graphic material—which Danny harnesses in his lyrics.

hes openly gay and doesn’t give a fuck. (also a slight implication that Gandalf is closeted.)

J.K Rowling herself announced to the public that Dumbledore IS openly gay, and doesn’t care about it. He is in love with a wizard named Gerret Grindelwald (http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/2007/10/20/j-k-rowling-at-carnegie-hall-reveals-dumbledore-is-gay-neville-marries-hannah-abbott-and-scores-more). It’s also a reference that he has wizards to help him.

Muddy is slang for Lean/Sizzurp due to the thickness of the syurp The Weeknd also makes use of this in the song “Gone”.

Lean originated in Houston, which is Drake’s “musical home” in the states. He refers a lot to Houston. That being said, he is clearly saying he prefers his Leans ice cold.

Given that this song is about Drake’s Southern and Canadian roots, he’s also likely referring to the Blues artist Muddy Waters, who shared Drake’s North vs. South cross-culture. Muddy was born and raised in Mississippi before becoming the father of Chicago blues. Drake was born in Toronto but signed his first record deal with Young Money Entertainment, the New Orleans based label founded by none other than Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.

The pole dancer is making up for the fact that Drake is far away from his usual bitches. He misses those girls, and that makes Drake sad.

When Drake was on Degrassi, he made a song called “Tell Me Lies” which made girls in his city go crazy over him, exposing his skills in rapping and opening himself to the underground.

“Tables” means all gambling games that happen on a table at the casino, including poker, blackjack, craps, roulette, etc.

In the second line, Evidence is saying, that every player loses, but it is the love of the game that keeps them trying their luck with other opportunities, aka “tables”. And when he loses, he learns from his mistakes and figures out the exact factors that contributed to his loss. He is getting better all the time, which other rappers aren’t doing.

In addition to referring to the previous line, this was also an allusion to the single “Can a Drummer get Some” by Travis Barker on which Wayne drops a verse. Also, Travis Barker’s album was titled Give the Drummer Some.
