Hung juries are unable to agree on a court case verdict after long deliberations. The present verb tense, “hang,” is used instead and fairly suggestive of literal hanging. Juries make a judgement based on what they hear in the courtroom and possible prejudices. The jury is symbolic of society, laws, morals, and their preconceptions. He’s telling off everyone who has ever has tried to manipulate his life according to their own standards.

He is using extended similes (using “like” or “as”) to make a comparison between women and water being a beautiful representation of the words coming out of this fraud’s mouth – elegant, believable, but untrue.

The gorgeous Stacey Dash played a role in Kanye West’s “All Falls Down” video – a beautiful woman that asks for a lot and runs her man down.

Barbasol, a brand of shaving cream – metaphor for women covered in suds. Women, water volleyball, and bikinis go together well; just like Brazil and its extravagant carnivals, filled with masses of beautiful woman.

Is Stacy, Lu’s love interest? Mentioning her (ass) in his “Sway In The Morning Freestyle”, tweets (1, 2), and concludes her beauty is torture equivalent to water boarding (in a good way) – she’s a river of women in one. Not to mention her birthday and this album were released on the same day, January 20. Conspiracy?

A few interpretations:

  1. A queen (without a king) is the ultimate form of power, ruling over all created beings in her country (men and women included).

  2. Made men (or man) are members of the Mafia. There were very few women that had control or power in the Mafia and those who did, usually sisters, wives, or cousins of the main family. Lupe wants more female empowerment.

  3. More men should respect where they came from, similar too how Queens, NYC reigned over all the made men. There’s a possibility that he’s using Queen here to represent motherhood.

Although the “rein” in reindeer doesn’t refer to straps and is from another language (assumed to be Scandinavian).

A key part of the Santa Claus myth is the sleigh pulled by magical flying reindeer, and Lupe considers them to be his slaves because they are forced to do laborious work.

The ninja wordplay just get’s more intense, escalating from anime into video games. Sub-zero (an evil incarnate ninja from Mortal Kombat), Raiden ( cyborg ninja from Metal Gear series).

Ninja Gaiden is a series of video games, following its hero ninja, Ryu Hayabusa (you might know him from the Dead Or Alive series). A Haiden (Shinto) is a sacred shrine, commonly associated with martial art schools. A common feature that is adapted into animes and video games.

Ninja teams (from Naruto) always move in groups or packs (teams of comrades), usually in threes.

One might notice all the names are homophones: guiding, hiding, riding. “The pack” might be a hidden callback to when Lu was fifteen, with his group, Da Pak. Ultimately Sub-Zero is used to represent the hidden leader of the faction.

Note: The homophones allow this line to be looked at in multiple ways by switching the names back and forth.

Ambitious humans seek to own everything, commonly represented by the world. Lupe concludes that the world belongs to God and not any being.

Lupe uses the analogy and allusion of/to Tony Montana in the final scene of Scarface: Lupe believes God needs to cleanse the people who will do whatever to achieve success; Tony uses an M16, which sprays like a shower, to kill a bunch of people.

Tony killed a lot of people to achieve success in the drug game. Right before he died, represented by his presence on the balcony in smoke, projecting him as a deity. He get’s shot and falls in the fountain with a statue that says “The World Is Yours” as he drowns.
