Drake makes a basketball reference about Eagle Rock coach Drew Lord. He wants to be passed, like the basketball move of giving a teammate the ball, like how Lord was temporarily on leeway because of a basketball feud between two coaches and was being passed over by a substitute.
Drake wants people to pass over him and not be noticed, which is cohesive to the songs message.
