Kanye maintains his credibility despite his preppy affectations. The Brooklyn hip-hop group Das Racist later recorded a track about this meme with Spiderfang (“Pink Polo Shorts”)

This also references an incident wherein Beanie Sigel questioned Kanye’s sexuality because of the clothes he wears, going as far as telling him to “come out of the closet already.”

Note the wordplay used as a ‘hood’ also means thug or G, therefore Kanye refers to himself as a hood; the fact that his shirt is pink (pink often equates to ‘pretty’) makes him a “pretty hood.”

The pun is that in 1996 everyone thought Halle Berry was one of, if not the, finest black women in America. Since Big Boi has been comparing his smoking apparatus to women in the last few lines, this can be interpreted as saying that he really nice, well-packed blunt on deck.

This references the phrase made famous by Elvis on the intro to “Blue Suede Shoes”. It originated from a Mother Goose rhyme that went:

Page 259 of “The Annotated Mother Goose” states that this was intended as a “race starting jingle”, and eventually evolved into the “one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go!” line we know today.
