The Hit Squad was a 1990s East Coast hip hop collective formed by Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith (E.P.M.D.). The collective separated when EPMD broke up for the first time in 1993.

The members were:

In 1998 Redman, Keith Murray and Erick Sermon formed Def Squad and released their album El niño.

In 2006 most of the former Hit Squad members reunited. A new album for the Hit Squad/Def Squad is planned.

Chris Webber is a retired professional basketball player. In 1994 Webber was traded to the Washington Bullets. He spent the next three years with the Bullets.

In 1995, owner Abe Pollin announced he was changing the team’s name because Bullets had acquired violent overtones that had made him increasingly uncomfortable over the years, particularly given the high homicide and crime rate in the early 1990s in Washington, D.C.

On May 15, 1997, the Bullets officially became the Washington Wizards.
