JSkills was CEO of Enron until August 2001, when he suddenly resigned and sold off most of his stake in the corporation. Enron declared bankruptcy within 4 months. He was convicted of multiple felonies related to Enron’s collapse, and is currently serving 14 years of a 24 year prison sentence. In 2004, he told Larry King,

Peleg, who has a much better sense of humor than his counterpart Bildad, is impressed with Ishmael’s novel argument and welcomes Queequeg, who he mistakenly calls Quohog (a kind of clam), aboard. He may be making a pun, suggesting that what’s worthwhile about a person is found on the inside (like a clam).

In a sort of “we are all Africans” move, Ishmael argues that all mankind belongs to the “everlasting First Congregation of this whole worshiping world.”

The Hittites were a biblical tribe that lived among the Israelites, but were not much liked by them. Bildad uses it here to suggest that Queequeg is not of the church.
