‘Ye, always ready to show off his knowledge of fashion, name drops Martin Margiela, a Belgian designer. A Margiela blazer like this will set you back about $1,850. While Gucci and LV are considered high-end for drug dealers and rappers, Margiela clothes are considered pretty chic even for fashion insiders.

The reference to high-end fashion contrasts dramatically with mentions of drugs and killas. “Margiela” is also a near-homophone of “Magilla”, so listeners who don’t know about high-end fashion will think Kanye is name-dropping a famous cartoon gorilla to pair with the “going gorillas” line. This demonstrates Kanye’s knowledge of both the high-brow and low-brow.

Kanye has a hidden track called “Late” — all about being late — on his classic sophomore album, Late Registration

Yo, I’ll be there in five minutes, five hours later

There are two theories about this line. First, some manufacturers of golf clubs (including irons) create their handles out of material with “tiny nubs” to improve the grip and prevent golfers from losing their clubs.

Additionally, ,it may be about a kind of samurai club called a Kanabo. This club (or really a long staff) does have tiny nubs. The better to bash you with. The previous line in the song talks about making a Samurai movie.
