Watsky points out contradictions in two commonly accepted expressions here. Each statement is hypocritical of the other, yet many speak as if each are true.

Watsky justifies himself to those who may call him impatient because keeping your feelings bottled up is even more unhealthy than being patient and not saying anything.

Even though one could view “bay” and “bae” as a double entendre due to Watsky’s reference to a girl here, it’s not. Saying “bae” is constituted under the same category as holding up a lighter app at a concert.

Spose has a long list of things that are stressing him out right now, to the point that he can’t even sleep at night.

Weed is sometimes used to help people sleep, however, since it’s the cause of his legal issues, it is not a proper solution for his problem.

Lyrically, Spose mentions his recent lack of sex right after the sleep he is not getting. He is neither sleeping nor “sleeping with” anybody.

Yonas wants you to dance, particularly, do the “two step” to the fast-paced instrumental. You gotta really feel the beat to do a two step to it, thus Yonas is stating that he wants you to really get into the stuff he’s putting out.

Life in a New York can be rough. Some people find themselves badly wounded or even dead due to the intense amount of violence that comes alongside many low income neighborhoods.

Yonas is calling for Jesus and asking for his help as he had to grow up in similar violent situations. It’s hard to understand what type of god would allow this violence to happen.

Hoodie believes Mike’s lines are so corny and predictable that Stud only sets goals that are extremely easy to achieve. Then Hoodie implies that he’s a thick headed jock.

Mike has two studio albums so far: Relief and the upcoming Closer.

Hoodie laughs at Mike’s notion that he’s made progress – instead, his rapping is a joke.

Hoodie can accept that Mike is strong (muscle wise) because he played baseball and is a pretty big dude. Still, in Hoodie’s opinion, Mike’s whole “tough guy” persona is completely fake. Thus he states that if Mike is as tough as he claims to be, his songs should be tougher than his sing-rap songs about girls and his lower calibur diss tracks.

Hoodie says that he is not a strong rapper and basically calls his “0 to 100 remix” weak compared to strong shit like this track.

Spose cannot relate to the subject matter of many popular rap songs such as “Bandz A Make Her Dance.” by Juicy J This is because Spose does not have the money to go out to a strip club like these other artists and “Make it rain on ‘dem hoes.”

Grieves was attracted to this girl physically to begin and then from a physiological standpoint. However, after their terrible relationship, he begins to see her differently.

The girl most likely looks the same on the outside as when the two met, but Grieves now recognizes that she is ugly on the inside. Thus, Grieves vocalizes that he doesn’t see her as beautiful anymore because she is such a terrible person and doubts why he ever thought she was beautiful.
