Aquafina is a brand of purified water bottles. The value of diamonds are usually determined by its clarity; the diamonds in Future’s rings are so clear that they are as transparent as Aquafina water. Additionally, his girl is shaped like a bottle (hourglass figure) – or perhaps she’s just wet.

“Jersey” is Future’s only solo track on the tape. He takes the moment to speak on the rewards of being a top-selling artist, living lavishly, his admiration for his loyal team, and his love for that syrup.

Future claims he is a real criminal (a trapper, someone who deals drugs) rather than a mere rapper.

The battle rap aesthetic has not been a leading force in commercial hip hop for some time. Calling someone a “battle rapper” suggests they are both soft and out-of-date.

The rap battle circuit and the trap rap arenas are vastly different worlds; one focuses on putting others down, and the latter is simply about getting your dollars up. Future isn’t too concerned about whoever may be hating, he’s over here doing his thing.

A “subliminal” in rap is a diss that doesn’t name its target. It’s considered a somewhat cowardly move, but is widely engaged in, even by rappers who declaim the practice elsewhere. Case in point: Future might be dropping a subliminal here.

Considering Meek Mill’s past as a battle rapper, many initially interpreted this as a shot at Meek, following his comments against Future at his Made In America set. However, in a cover story for XXL, Future expressed his love and respect for Meek.

“Ad Lib” is in fact short for “Ad libitum,” Latin for “at one’s pleasure.” In hip hop this can refer to either additional vocal effects (such as Pusha T’s “Yuugh”) or simply improvised phrases.

Soulo’s talent and success is so remarkable it gotta be a result of divine intervention; God speaks through him. The use of “let” is also telling, and further explores Soul’s powerful demeanor. God apparently didn’t choose to assist and guide Soul – Soul gave Him the opportunity to do so.

Rapper French Montana and reality star Khloe Kardashian used to be something of a couple from 2014 to mid-2015; Game rides unspecified French automobiles (hard to imagine Game rolling in a something like a Citroën, so probably a Bugatti) the same way Khloe used to ride Montana (haaaaan).

What’s interesting is that Khloe and Game himself have also been seen together, sparking the rumor that they were romantically involved. He denies the claims, however.

Aventadors are mid-engined sports cars produced by Lamborghini, and they’ll go for an average price of US$400,000. This highlights that, despite Game’s immense wealth and success, he still won’t leave his neighborhood behind. The only thing that changes are the vehicles he’s sporting.

“Swimming with the fishes” is a common idiom describing how someone has been murdered, and possibly dumped in the ocean. The phrase originated in the gangster classic, The Godfather. After the murder of Luca Brazzi, Don Corleone’s enforcer, a mail with a fish wrapped in Luca’s bulletproof vest was sent to Don Corleone’s household – it’s a Sicilian message for “sleeping with the fishes."

The Hudson River, stretching around 315 miles (507 km), is a river that flows from Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York, through Hudson Valley, and out into the Atlantic Ocean. That’s a lot of water to search through. What’s notable about the Hudson is that it flows both ways, which would make it more difficult to locate any bodies.

“See murder” functions as a homophone for C-Murder, a rapper formerly signed to No Limit Records. Game is so gifted with his writing that all of his rhymes are deadly weapons used to metaphorically kill the competition. You won’t spot any weak shit in his rhyme book.
