This line fuckin haunts me because it was supposed to be some kind of embedded comment on how society has devastated and deprived indigenous people but it just looks stupid and insensitive so fuck that.

This was another fucked line that I regret because not only are there plenty of lovely women bowlers, it is also not bowler (or anyone’s) obligation to entice me. And I am resourceful enough to come up with some other shit that rhymes.

There are elements of this verse that are dope obviously, but there are also regrettably cringey backpacker elements that reveal young male entitlement under the guise of anti-materialism. Goofball shit that I would have written differently had I been a bit more mature.

This was the cobbling together of stories of young heartbreak and while it might be relatable to people, I think it also is a lesson in needing to have more love for yourself first and to recognize that sometimes people losing feelings toward each other isn’t a betrayal or abuse (I say that as someone who’s experienced both).

I wanted to come back to some of my old stuff to share some perspective or new insights. First, this track is okay, but it is admittedly absurd that I wrote this, thinking that I’d someday come back to California and subsequently realized I never wanted to live in another American city besides New York. What density and walkability will do to a motherfucker.
