There is a myth that the music industry is democratized. That’s bullshit. It has just been restructured with the appearance of such a reformation. All good, though. Everybody who wins has an ace up their sleeve, no matter what they tell you. I don’t blame them for that. I blame the folks who pretend like the shit doesn’t exist.

Warith Deen Mohammed was the Imam who disbanded the Nation of Islam and reformed it as a Sunni Islamic movement. That’s not to say I agree with everything the man said or that I’m converting to Islam (NO THANKS KENYAN PRESIDENT OBAMA), but it suited the rhyme scheme, simile, and intent of the line.
