On this Monday Night match-up between division rivals, the Denver Broncos completely dominated the Oakland Raiders.
Denver’s offense went for over 500 yards of total offense against a struggling Raiders defense with Peyton Manning throwing for 374 yards and 3 TD’s with only 5 incomplete passes, add on a rushing attack that ran for over 100 yards which gave the Oakland defense problems in trying to slow them down.
Despite being blown out early Oakland was still able to play hard and score 21 points but couldn’t do more with the run game being shut down by the Broncos defense, penalties on the offense, and Denver being able to put the pressure on Terelle Pryor who was still able to have a good game throwing for 281 yards and a TD but it wasn’t enough to keep up with Peyton Manning and the Broncos.
Late in the fourth quarter Pryor ended up leaving the game early on what may be a Concussion, ending his night with a career high 112.4 passer rating, leaving him questionable for for the next game against Washington.
After the game the Broncos become 3-0 with the Raiders dropping to 1-2 on the season

Despite Chicago passing New York to become the murder capital of the U.S., New York was able to break it’s previous record of 471 murders back in 2009, and making it the lowest since New York started recording murders in 1963.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg responded by saying

The third match-up between brothers Peyton & Eli Manning known as The Manning Bowl, finds Denver headed to MetLife Stadium In East Rutherford, New Jersey for the Giants Home Opener.
Unfortunately, The Giants defense ended up getting overwhelmed by a balanced Denver offense with Peyton throwing for 307 yards and 2 TD’s, Knowshon Moreno rushing for 93 yards and 2 TD’s, and a punt return for a TD by Trindon Holiday.
Denver’s defense caused many problems for Eli and the Giants offense, limiting the Giants rushing attack to 23 Total yards on the ground and causing Eli Manning to throw four interceptions.
Denver would end up winning 41-23, making the Broncos go 2-0 and the Giants falling to 0-2 on the season.
