Despite the success of his first 3 albums with Whut? Thee Album, Dare Iz A Darkside, & Muddy Waters reaching Gold (Selling 500,000 units). Redman had yet to have an album that has gone platinum (Selling 1,000,000 units), but despite that he’s a superstar in the hood, and gets love in the streets.

Ironically Doc’s Da Name 2000 (The album this song is on) would end up being his highest selling album, going platinum within 2 months.

Referencing the “Bo Knows” commercials where star athlete Bo Jackson shows his ability to be able to play a few different sports other than Football & Baseball

But Redman makes a pretty bold claim that Bo can’t roll a blunt.

Artist B.o.B. is known for his ability to sing and play the guitar, along with rapping.

Although it’s unknown whether or not Xzibit can do either of those things, it’s a guarantee that he can and will kill you with a .223 Remington which is ammo usually found in rifles.

Bebe’s kids refers to a recurring part of Robin Harris' stand-up act. They are characterized by two things: numerousness and disorderliness.

Bebe’s Kids always wreak havoc wherever they go and yell, “We don’t die, we multiply.”

They even made a movie out of it! (And a fairly shitty video game out of the movie.)

Sampled in Nas' amazing track, “2nd Childhood”.

When Tragedy has children (or seeds), they will be thugs just like him because crime runs through his blood.

Also a reference to his verse from the song “T.O.N.Y. (Top of New York)” where he spits some similar lines.

But until then, I'mma shine to the last sin
Resurrect through the birth of my son, and live again

Although Method Man actually dropped in 1993 with the Wu-Tang Clan and dropped his solo album Tical in 1994, 1995 marked the first collaboration between himself and Redman on “How High.”

95 South is an interstate highway that runs from New York down to Florida, located in the “Dirty South” region. 95 South was also a rap group with the hit song “Whoot, There It Is.”

UGK (Bun B & Pimp C) was a rap duo from the South. In 1996 the duo released an album titled Ridin' Dirty.

Ol' Dirty Bastard—known simply as Dirty—was a member of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan who passed away in 2004.

In this line Method Man play on the word dirty by shouting out both UGK and Ol' Dirty Bastard.
